About Indraprastha College for Women (IPCW)

Indraprastha College for Women holds a distinguished place in the history of women's education in India. It is the oldest women's college affiliated with the University of Delhi, predating DU's own founding - established in 1924, two years before Delhi University formally came into existence in 1922.

The college was originally affiliated with Panjab University before joining the University of Delhi at its founding. IP College has grown from a small liberal arts college for women into a comprehensive institution offering programs in Economics, English, Hindi, Sanskrit, History, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Geography, Philosophy, Music, Mathematics, Computer Science, Commerce, and the unique Multimedia and Mass Communication.

IP College UG Admission Process 2026

IP College UG admission 2026 follows the standard University of Delhi CUET-CSAS process. The entire process is online via the NTA CUET portal (cuet.nta.nic.in) and the DU CSAS portal (ugadmission.uod.ac.in). There is no separate interview or college registration required for IP College admission.

• Register for and appear in CUET 2026. Select the correct subject combination for your target program at IP College. (Registration for 2026 has closed.)
  Note: The CUET UG 2026 exam is scheduled from May 11 to May 31, 2026.
• Download your CUET UG 2026 admit card from the NTA portal (expected 3-4 days before the exam). Carry a printed copy and a valid photo ID to the exam centre.
• After the exam, check your CUET UG 2026 result and download the scorecard from the NTA portal. Results are expected in the last week of June 2026.

IP College Campus & Facilities

The IP College campus spans 14.5 acres at 31 Sham Nath Marg, Civil Lines, North Delhi - a relatively leafy and historic neighbourhood that is well-connected by the DMRC (Vidhan Sabha Metro Station).

• Library: Over 1,00,000 books, e-resources, national and international journals, and a dedicated book bank facility for economically weaker students to borrow textbooks free of charge for the entire academic year.
• Hostels: Two hostels with over 450 seats total. Kalawati Gupta Hostel: on-campus, 280 seats; Indraprastha Hostel: across the road from campus, 170 seats. Both have AC and non-AC room options. Hostel fee is approximately 55,000-60,000 per semester (including meals, laundry, electricity, and Wi-Fi). 1st-year fee is approximately 1,83,100; 2nd and 3rd year fee is approximately 1,73,000.
• ICT Centre: 45 computers with internet access for student use. Computer labs for B.Sc (Hons.) Computer Science and BMMMC students.
• Multimedia Studio & Community Radio Station: A fully equipped multimedia studio and an active community radio station - part of the facilities that make IP College's BMMMC programme unique. This is one of a very small number of DU colleges with an on-campus radio station.
