The Common University Entrance Test (CUET), is an important exam for students seeking admission to prestigious Universities/colleges such as DU, BHU, JNU, AU etc (total 250+). The amount of time required for preparation will depend on various factors such as your strength, weakness, academic background, understanding, familiarity with the exam pattern, and your proficiency in the subject's knowledge. Generally, it is recommended that you start preparing for the CUET in class 11th  onwards. This will give you ample time to cover all the topics, practice mock tests, and revise.

The stepping stone to a prosperous future is often laid down when you are in classes 11th & 12th. These are the two most-crucial academic years, which have a deep and long impact on the professional options and opportunities you will have in the future. The NTA has mentioned that the CUET syllabus will be the same as the NCERT syllabus for class 12. But, the class 11th syllabus too shouldn’t be taken lightly.

Ideally, the 11th class is a perfect time to start your journey preparing for CUET entrance exams. However, students adopt different approaches to prepare for and crack the CUET exam. Since you are in 11th grade, you can begin by focusing on building a strong foundation in the core subjects such as the General Test which consists of Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness. Therefore, it is important that you start your CUET preparation from class 11 onwards if you wish for admission to your dream college with the course of your choice.

Irrespective of when you begin your preparation, it is crucial that you keep the following in mind:

> Be Aware with the syllabus

> Work on Basic concepts

> Keep yourself motivated

> Practice

> Believe in yourself

It is important to stay motivated and consistent with your studies, and keep track of your progress by regularly taking mock tests and identifying areas that need improvement.

Keep learning, keep growing
