IBPS RRB Office Assistant Main Exam Analysis October 07, 2018



IBPS RRB Office Assistant Main Exam 2018 was held on October 07, 2018. There were 200 questions spread across 5 sections namely, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, General Awareness, English Language/Hindi Language and Computer Knowledge. All sections except the ‘language section’ were available bilingually. A candidate had to attempt either the section on English Language or Hindi Language. Each question had 5 options, with negative marking of one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question. The paper had to be attempted in 2 hours (120 minutes).

English Language

There was only one set of Reading Comprehensions consisting 10 questions out of which 2-3 questions were of antonyms and synonym. The overall difficulty level of this section was easy to moderate.

General Awareness

Most of the questions were from banking, static and current affairs including government schemes, banking related schemes. Most of the current affairs questions were related to news events of July and August. General Awareness was easy to moderate in terms of difficulty level.

Computer Knowledge

This section was easy to attempt. The main areas of focus were Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Networking, Internet, Basic Hardware and Software.
