SBI PO Preliminary Exam (June 09, 2019): Analysis - Slot II



The SBI PO Preliminary Exam 2019 is scheduled to be conducted across a span of two weeks on the following dates – 08th, 09th, 15th, & 16th June 2019. On the second day of the SBI PO Preliminary Exam 2019, the paper was one with Easy-moderate level of difficulty.

The paper consisted of total 100 questions; overall duration of the exam was 60 minutes. Each section had an individual time limit of 20 minutes. All the sections, except English Language, were available in both English and Hindi. Each question carried one mark. There was a penalty of one fourth of the allotted marks or 0.25 marks for every incorrect attempt.

English Language:

The English Language section was along the same lines as previous years. In order to score well in this section a candidate required basic understanding of rules of English Grammar and good vocabulary. The Reading Comprehension passage was moderately difficult. In total there were 7 questions – 2 questions were vocab based, 1 FIB questions, 2 questions were inference based, and 2 questions were fact based. Overall, the level of difficulty of the English Language section was easy to moderate.

The difficulty level of the DI sets was easy. The DI sets were not time consuming which should have saved candidates some time. The questions from Missing Number Series were moderate. The Arithmetic-based questions were primarily from Time and Work, Partnership, Mixtures, Boat and Stream, SI/CI, etc. and were time consuming. The overall difficulty level of this section was moderate.
