About the CAT Percentile Predictor

Our predictor has also been able been to make remarkably good predictions when patterns have changed dramatically (number of sections, number of questions etc etc) . Our students have often marvelled at the accuracy of the predictor. It is not unusual for us to hear terms like 'surreal' or even 'creepy' when get some predictions right to the second decimal!

Here are some points to be noted about the CL Percentile Predictor.

At present our predictor is able to do normalization across slots (using the CAT provided scaling formula)
The CL Predictor tends to be most accurate at the higher percentiles
At the lower percentiles errors tend to creep in since we tend of less data at those levels (e.g < 70%ile).

Career Launcher's AI-Driven CAT Percentile Predictor has been widely used over the past few years. If we look at its performance based on past years, Possible deviations from the predicted percentiles as observed in the previous CAT results are given below:

Deviation of around 0.5%ile - Prediction accuracy of 97.7% for candidates scoring above 98%ile and 95.6% accuracy for candidates scoring above 95%ile
