More details about the CFA Level-1 Exam

This exam is conducted twice a year – once in June and the second time in December.

The pass rate of aspirants who have appeared for the CFA Level-1 Exam conducted in Jun-2018 is 43%. It improved to 45% for the exam conducted in Dec-2018. The CFA Institute consistently makes a lot of efforts to make sure that the curriculum stays regularly updated, always as per the industry requirements. The books, thus updated, are generally available post January as per the updated curriculum.

The preparation time required for CFA Level-1 Exam is 300 hours. Out of these 300 hours, Career Launcher conducts classroom coaching for 120 hours. Adding to it, 40 hours of practice sessions and self-study for another 140 hours mean that if the student devotes 2 hours daily for self-study, 3 to 4 months are enough for preparation for the CFA Level-1 exam.

CFA Level-1 Exam runs for 6 hours. The question paper contains 240 multiple-choice questions. The multiple-choice questions only have three possible answers; candidates need to read the questions carefully to select the correct answers, which can often include "none of the above" and "all of the above" as possible answers.
