The NTA has officially confirmed that the CUET 2026 syllabus (for domain subjects) will comprise the Class 12 NCERT syllabus for respective subjects. However, the syllabus for the languages (Section I) and GAT (Section III) is not clearly defined by the NTA on the official CUET website. The CUET 2026 syllabus comprises the whole NCERT class 12 syllabus for respective subjects. Students must note that it is the whole NCERT (not any Boards, i.e. CBSE or ICSE) class 12 syllabus.

Class 12 Board marks are not the most crucial factor for CUET and subsequent UG admission, but if you aspire to take admission to DU, then Class 12 Board marks are crucial as they will be considered to decide tie-breakers.
In case there is a tie in the CUET score of two or more candidates applying for the same course and same college, then their Board marks will be considered for UG admission. Firstly, the best of 3, 4, & 5 subject marks will be considered respectively, and the oldest student will get the seat in case of a tie again.

The CUET 2026 exam pattern is expected to remain the same as it was in 2025. There will be three sections (language, domain subjects, GAT). Each paper will have 50 compulsory questions with a maximum exam duration of 60 minutes.
In CUET UG, students will be awarded five marks for every correct answer. For every wrong answer, they will be awarded a penalty of 1 mark.
CUET 2026 UG will be conducted online as a Computer-based Test.
