IIM Result Date 2025: The announcement of the IIM results could be a life-changing moment for most aspirants. With each release, a new layer of enthusiasm and nervousness builds among the majority of candidates. The IIM-BLACKI & CAP results are now available on their official websites.
The IIMs began the process of releasing their final results, with IIM Ahmedabad being the first on the list, announcing its results on April 16, 2025, followed by FMS Delhi on April 20, IIM Bangalore on April 21, IIM Calcutta on April 29, and IIM Shillong and IIM Kozhikode on the same date. The final merit list for these IIMs has been published, and students who have been selected have received their offer letters at their registered email addresses.
For aspirants who couldn't make it to the IIM final merit list, there is no need to feel discouraged. They may still get lucky during the IIM waitlist movement 2025, where they still have a chance to secure a place in their dream B-school. Most of the IIMs will conclude their result process by May 2025.
IIM results for the MBA batch of 2025-2027 have been announced. Selected candidates may have received the offer letter containing the status of their IIM results directly in their official emails. However, students can also check their results by logging into the admissions portal using their CAT 2024 credentials. The results are available on the official websites of these B-schools.
As is the trend, IIM Ahmedabad, known for its prestige, was the first to release its IIM results, followed by IIM Bangalore and IIM Calcutta. Getting into an IIM isn’t just about scoring well in the CAT exam. Several other factors play a role in the final admission decision. Here’s a quick breakdown of what really matters:
Most of the MBA aspirants still have no idea about the waitlist movements. If some students who were accepted choose not to take their offers, their spots become available. These spots are then given to qualified candidates on the waitlist. Thus, even though the results are released early, it is not the end of the world; candidates still hold onto a little hope in the name of the waitlist.
Most IIMs release their final shortlist after the acceptance of waitlisted candidates in the months of April and May 2025, showcasing the names of the students who are accepted after considering any changes from the waitlist.
We cannot say for sure how many people will be admitted after the waitlist movement. However, based on last year's results, we can expect the numbers to be similar, although they may also fluctuate.
