Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Science (DS), and Machine Learning (ML) are the pillars of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, or what is commonly known as Industry 4.0. AI is a branch of Computer Science that deals with the ability of a machine to closely imitate intelligent human behavior. ML is an application of AI that is based on the idea that when machines are provided new data, they can learn, grow, and develop on their own without explicit human intervention/programming. DS, on the other hand, is an umbrella term that signifies techniques used to extract useful information and insights from data.

As a part of Career Launcher’s Data School initiative, our CXO AI/ML retreat is designed for CXO’s, business leaders, tech evangelists. The two day retreat in Bangalore was held on 23rd and 24th of August 2019 at Royal Orchid Regenta, Old Airport Road.

With a full house of 30 participants, the two days focussed on indulging in understanding the potential of Data Sciences, how data can be insightful with case studies that each of participants could map to their business and operations along with networking and dinner.

While Sujit Bhattacharyya and Subhrajit Bhattacharyya along with Ayush Joshi took them through the process of solving data science problem’s hands on enabling each participant to understand how to interact with data, it was interesting to see the eclectic cohort of participants from CXO’s, executives, business heads, entrepreneurs, technology and product teams unravel how machines learn, how does one enable data driven decision making and the importance of using data analysis in their respective area of work.
