About the Exam
The IPMAT (Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by IIMs for admission to their 5-year Integrated Programme in Management. It tests candidates on Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability, and Logical Reasoning
IPMAT Dress Code
While there is NO officially prescribed Dress Code for IPMAT, candidates are strongly encouraged to dress in a simple and comfortable manner to ensure a smooth security check process.
Recommended Clothing
- Choose light-colored clothes to beat the heat.
- Prefer plain outfits without large buttons.
- Avoid clothing with metallic embellishments, zippers, or heavy embroidery.
- Refrain from wearing shoes with thick soles.
- Avoid accessorizing.
The goal is to maintain a comfortable, neat, and modest appearance on exam day.
Prohibited Items
Note: Calculators are Not Allowed. However, there will be an on-screen calculator.
IPMAT Exam Day Instructions
- Printing: The admit card must be printed on A4-size paper using a laser printer. The photograph and signature must be clearly printed.
- Verification: The admit card must be presented at the test center along with the original, valid (not expired) photo ID card. The photo ID card should match the name on the admit card.
- Self-attestation: The second page of the admit card must be self-attested by the candidate.
- Test center: Candidates are advised to locate their test center a day before the test.
- Reporting time: Candidates will be advised to reach 20-30 minutes before the reporting time.
- Allowed items: Only the admit card, original photo ID, and a self-attested photocopy of the photo ID are allowed inside the test hall.
- Rough work: Rough sheets and pens will be provided for rough work and must be returned after the test.
- Accompaniment: Friends and relatives are not allowed inside the test center.
- Travel and stay: Candidates must make their own travel and stay arrangements.
- Admit card validity: The admit card is provisional and subject to verification of eligibility criteria.
- Test center change: Requests for a change of test center will not be entertained.
