The Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT) is a national-level exam conducted by the Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore). The IPMAT exam serves as the gateway for students who wish to get admission to the 5 year Integrated Program in Management offered at IIM Indore. It was in 2011 that IIM Indore became the first institute to introduce Integrated Programme Management (IPM) and was also the first integrated program founded in 2011.
The IPMAT allows students who have just completed their 12th standard and are vying to get a seat in this integrated program because earning a seat in this 5-year program offered by the IIM will aid young aspirants in finishing their UG (undergraduate) and PG (postgraduate) studies. Although the IPM was unique and reassuring, it also brought in a great amount of criticism and queries about its validity. Despite all of that, the program stood firm to its ground against the test of time, and soon enough, IIM Rohtak followed in the footsteps of IIM Indore, and the IPM program was adopted.
With IIM Rohtak adopting the program, the institute granted the IPM program essential validity and distinction. In 2021, fellow IIMs such as IIM Ranchi, IIM Bodhgaya, and IIM Jammu further adopted the program and commenced their first batch of IPM programs this year.
The IPM program has always been very renowned on both sides i.e. pupils and corporations. This is because IIM Indore gives 100% placement to its pupils. Not a single pupil ends up without a job after finishing the course at IIM Indore. The institute’s average figures have risen invariably and it’s all due to the 100% placement effect.
Fast-forward to now, the number of candidates has been increasing every year and the demand for the IPM program has evolved and gone up even higher.
