What Does IPMAT Stand For?

IPM Programme Structure

The five-year Integrated Programme in Management is divided into two phases:

Phase I: Foundation (Years 1–3):

• Builds academic foundations across management, economics, humanities, and quantitative sciences
• Students complete a Social Internship at the end of three years
• Covers subjects including Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business Communication, and Liberal Arts

Phase II: Business Management (Years 4–5):

IPM Admission Process

Step 1: IPMAT Aptitude Test: Appear for the IPMAT exam. Results are declared within 15–20 days of the exam date. IIMs release section-wise and overall cutoffs alongside the scorecard.

Step 2: Personal Assessment / Interview (PI): Shortlisted candidates (IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak) are called for a Personal Interview. The PI round assesses academics, general awareness, and communication skills. For IIM Indore, the PI carries 35% weightage in the final composite score.

Step 3: Final Merit List: The final merit list is based on a Composite Score combining IPMAT performance, Class 10 and 12 academic records, and PI score.
