Alternate Exams to IPMAT & JIPMAT

Management is considered one of the most popular career choices aside from the medical and engineering field among pupils after passing their 12th standard. 

However, before preparing for any examination, students must be well-informed about the particular field they wish to pursue. For example: if a student is planning to take management exams, go for the entrance exams associated with the management field.

 

The IPMAT (Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test) and JIPMAT (Joint Integrated Programme in Management Admission Test) are crucial stepping stones for those who have completed their class 12 and are looking to make a career in management. 

Both IPMAT and JIPMAT entrances are a gateway to admissions into the esteemed integrated MBA programs at the IIMs (Indian Institute of Management).  

 

Students preparing for the management entrance exams might be confused and stressed about which other entrances they can prepare for along with IPMAT and JIPMAT. To give you better insight, we have provided some alternative exams to IPMAT and JIPMAT.

Christ University Entrance Test (CUET)

Executed by Christ University, the Entrance Test-Christ University(ET-CU) is an entrance examination for admission into various UG (undergraduate) programs. To be eligible for this test, candidates must have completed the 12th standard or equivalent examination with at least 55% aggregate from a recognized board and the age limit should be not more than 18 to 20 years to be applicable for the ET-CU exam.

 

Students planning to take the entrance exam can aim for the Bangalore campus including the fees, placement, and higher studies opportunities which are synced at Christ University, Bangalore. 

 

Christ University Bangalore can offer better placements and career options depending on its fee structure. Other campuses are still very new and are yet to achieve recognition.

St. Xavier’s Exam

Conducted by St. Xaviers’ College Mumbai, the St. Xavier’s entrance exam is held once a year to provide admission to BMS programs. The final selection is done through a merit list readied by a cumulative entrance test score and 12th standard exams. A weightage of 60% is allotted to the entrance test scores and 35% weightage for marks fetched in class 12 board examinations. 

Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET)

Conducted by Symbiosis International (deemed university), the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) offers admission to various UG programs at symbiosis schools. Students interested in appearing for this entrance exam should aim for the SET entrance exam for admission in management courses such as B.com, BBA (Management), BBA (Honors), and so on.

 

To be eligible for this examination, students must have passed their 12th standard or equivalent examination from a recognized board with at least 50% aggregate.

National Test for Programs After Twelfth (NPAT) Exam

Conducted by the Monjee Institute of Management Studies or the NMIMS University, the NPAT exam is held once a year. The purpose of the NPAT exam is for students to get admission into various courses such as BBA, BSc, BDes, BTech, BCom, BA (Honors) Liberal Arts, and other integrated programs.  

 

To be eligible for this test, a candidate should be between the ages of 17 years to 25 years. Furthermore, you must have passed class 12 or an equivalent exam from a recognized board.

Conclusion

It is prudent for aspirants to keep their options open especially when the syllabus is similar for a number of exams, for example, the management exams after class 12. Aspirants must fill out the forms for all these exams duly to remain at the top of their game.
