Getting into the reputed IIMs doesn’t have to be pushed till after completing the bachelor’s degree; with the IPM course, the common question of the students arise is how to get into IIM after 12th class. 

Presently, IIM Rohtak, IIM Indore, and 5 other IIMs offer a five-year integrated and multi-disciplinary programme. The programme is fit for students who are willing to get into IIM after class 12 or any other equivalent programme from diverse schools.

The Integrated Program in Management is structured to train students to become professionals in the management field. Students who wish to secure admissions into the 5-year Integrated Program offered by some of the top business schools of India must meet the eligibility criteria, then write the IPMAT exam, which is further explained below in this article.

IPM IIMs Eligibility Criteria

Before planning your future, it is important for aspirants to verify whether they meet the eligibility criteria or not. Eligibility criteria to secure a seat in IIMs are listed below:

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidate should have passed Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examination, or be appearing

IPMAT Indore
IIM Amritsar
  • (i) Age: Candidate should not be more than 20 years of age.
  • (ii) Qualifying Exam: Candidate should have passed Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examination, or be appearing with Mathematics/Applied Mathematics as a compulsory paper.
  • (iii) Minimum Percentage (%) of marks: Candidates should have a minimum of 60% in standard X/ SSC (55% for candidates from SC/ST/ PwD category) and standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations. 
IIM Shillong
  • Age: Candidate should not be more than 20 years of age. 
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks o Candidates must have a minimum of 60% in their 10th grade/SSC examinations and 12th grade/HSC or equivalent examinations (55% for candidates from SC/ST/DA categories).  
  • Candidates must have studied mathematics or applied mathematics as a subject in Standard XI and XII
IIM Ranchi
  • Candidates should have scored 60% or above in the 10th standard/Secondary/SSC Examination and the 12th standard/Higher Secondary/HSC Examination.
  • A relaxation of 5% has been given to SC/ST/PwD candidates.
SAT/ IPMAT Indore
IIM Rohtak
  • General, NC-OBC, and EWS Category:

          (i) Minimum 60% in standard X/ SSC and standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations.
          (ii) Maximum 20 years of age.

  • SC, ST, and DAP Category:

(i) Minimum 55% in standard X/ SSC and standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations.

(ii) Maximum 20 years of age.

  2. Personal Interview (PI): Shortlisted candidates will be called for the personal interview round, which assesses the candidate’s communication skills, general awareness, confidence, and overall personality.

The final merit list will be prepared based on the candidate’s performance in both the IPMAT and the Personal Interview

The selection process for JIPMAT is as follows-

  1. Students need to meet the eligibility criteria and appear in JIPMAT.
