Certain IIMs offer a one of a kind program called IPM (Integrated Programme in Management) for students who have passed out from 12th class. Candidates belonging to General and NC-OBC category must hold a Higher Secondary and Senior Secondary Certificate (X and XII) with a minimum of 60% aggregate. While for candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PWD (DA) category, they must hold a Higher Secondary and Senior Secondary Certificate (X and XII) with a minimum of 55% aggregate.
IPMAT is a 2 hour online exam that is conducted for the selection of undergraduate applicants for a 5-year business management course. The exam is conducted to test the applicant’s aptitude, logical reasoning, and proficiency in English and Mathematics. IPMAT syllabus includes Quantitative Ability (short answers), Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability (multiple-choice based). There are 100 questions asked in total. 4 marks are allotted for every right answer and a negative 1 for every wrong answer. However, there is no negative marking for Quantitative Ability (short answer).
