About University of Hyderabad

The most sought-after University in the region, University of Hyderabad was established in 1974. With various schools established in due course, the University of Hyderabad was declared an "institution of eminence" in 2019. For maintaining high standards of education, the University has been accorded grade -1 autonomy by UGC.

The University of Hyderabad has been ranked 6th in NIRF 2020, Grade A by NAAC and ranked in the range 591-600 in QS World Ranking 2019.

University of Hyderabad UG Programs

University of Hyderabad offers a limited program at the undergraduate level, unlike other universities. Also, the undergraduate admissions are for Integrated Programs only.

University of Hyderabad UG Programs Eligibility:

Each of the courses have different eligibility for admissions. To be eligible for admissions, one must fulfil all the criteria as laid down by the respective faculties of the University.

M. Sc (Integrated): Candidate must have passed Senior School Certificate (10+2) or equivalent examination with minimum of 60% marks with science subjects. For M. Sc Mathematical Sciences and Physics, it is important to have Maths at +2 level. For Health Psychology, candidate must have studied Arts or Sciences in class XII.

M.A (Integrated): Candidate must have passed Senior School Certificate (10+2) or equivalent examination with minimum of 60% marks. For M.A Telugu, Hindi and Language Sciences, candidate must have 60% marks at +2 level of education with Telugu/English/ Hindi as one of the subjects.

M.OPT (Integrated): Candidate must have passed Senior School Certificate (10+2) or equivalent examination with minimum of 60% marks in +2 or Equivalent in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and English as one of the subjects.

University of Hyderabad UG Admissions:

Until 2020, admissions to UoH UG courses were based on entrance exam conducted by the University. From the academic year 2021, admissions to UG programs offered by UoH will be based on Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET). CUCET will be a common entrance for admissions to UG programs offered by all the Central Universities in the country.
