University of Delhi (DU) always remains to be the first choice of every student aspiring for UG, and why not? It is the dream university of many students and attracts around 5 to 6 lakh applicants every year. Delhi University is one of the oldest Indian educational institutes. No doubt, the cut-offs for the top colleges here are as high as 100 percent due to the cut-throat competition to get in. Most of the colleges in the list of top 10 Indian colleges are from Delhi University (DU). 

DU has been a constant participant in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admission to its undergraduate courses since beginning (2022). The new admission system is not based on the 12th Board results but on the CUET score of the candidate. CUET Is the sole gateway to get admission to an undergraduate program at DU, along with 250+ other universities. Last year an approximate total of 14-15 lakh candidates registered for the CUET exams, and over 21 thousand students scored 100 percentile in different subjects. This should give you a fair idea of how tough the competition is in the CUET. It means all the students who scored 100%-ile are eligible to get admission to Delhi University (DU). Therefore, if you want to take admission to DU, you will have to score very good marks in your Board exams and also get the maximum percentile (preferably 100 percentile) in CUET. 

In the event of a tie, where two or more candidates have the same CUET (UG) percentile score opting for the same college and course, the tie-breaker rules will be implemented. As per DU’s CSAS guidelines, tie-breaking rules would be applied in the following order

> The class 12 scores of the students will be compared (best of 5,4,3..in this order).

> If there is still a tie, then the older candidate will get the seat.
