CAT 2024 exam day guidelines are very important, and therefore it is advised that every candidate must be fully aware of the guidelines before they appear for the examination. > Reach the test center with the CAT 2024 admit card and government-issued identity proof.
> Do not carry any electronic gadgets or restricted items such as food/drink to the test center.
> Follow the safety measures and dress codes.
> Reach the test center in advance to make time for security inspection and document verification.
> Obey the instructions of the examiners and staff of the test center.
> Be ready to go through compulsory frisking and biometric identification.
> Find your designated seat and finish the required steps to successfully log in to the test screen
> Review and confirm your profile details, go through the instructions, and confirm agreement to the statement.
> Commence your exam test and finish it within the given time frame.
> Give back the notepad and pen after completing the exam.
> Leave the test room and test center after the examination.

What Documents To Carry on the CAT 2024 Exam Day?
The documents that candidates are required to carry on the CAT 2024 exam day are as follows:
> Carry your admit card and government-issued identity proof.
> If you have signed up under the PwD quota, you are required to bring additional documents, including a medical certificate displaying your disability and a scribe affidavit (if you use one).
> In case of any changes in your name because of divorce, marriage, or other reasons, carry all the necessary legal papers and government-stamped proof of your name change.
> Carrying any type of electronic device is strictly banned, and other items like food/drink are not also prohibited.
> Abide by the safety rules and dress codes, reach the exam center in advance, and follow what the exam staff asks you to do.
CAT 2024 Exam Day Guidelines: Do’s and Don’t
As there will be a thorough identification procedure at every CAT exam location, applicants should plan to arrive two hours prior to their exam.
For example: A candidate must arrive at their CAT test location by 7:30 AM if their exam is scheduled to start at 9:30 AM.

Verification of Documents And Biometric Registration
On the day of the CAT exam, all the candidates are checked properly before entering the examination hall to ensure that they are not carrying any unauthorized items. Once they enter their allotted rooms, biometric verification takes place as part of the registration process to mark the attendance of the particular candidate.
It is mandatory for candidates to undergo IRIS and photo registration and must have their documents validated before starting the exam. The following process is as follows:
> The original identity proof (Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID, etc.) along with the admit card is thoroughly checked by the invigilator before proceeding with the biometric verification.
> Eyes and thumb impressions of the candidates are captured for verification purposes.
> Photographs of the candidates are taken for the purpose of keeping records.
> Candidates are required to mark their attendance on the sheet provided by the invigilator.
