CAT Application Fee Structure 2025: Check How To Apply & Refund Policy

The CAT 2025 application fee must be paid at the time of enrollment; without paying the fee, the CAT 2025 registration process will not be completed. The details are as follows:
> The fee can be submitted online only.
> You will also have the option to preview the application before making the payment and submitting the application form.
> You will receive a confirmation email a few minutes after paying successfully.
There has been a revision in the CAT 2024 application fee, which is expected to carry over to CAT 2025, as given below for your reference:

The fees for registering for the CAT exam are the same as the application fees, and you need to pay them when you submit your application. Here are some important details about CAT exam fees:
> Non-Refundable Fee: Once you pay the CAT registration fee, it cannot be refunded for any reason.
> Form Corrections: You can only change specific details, like your CAT test center, photo, and signature, after you've submitted your form. If you need to correct other mistakes, you must fill out a new application and pay the fee again.
> Registration Dates: You can expect the registration period to open in early August 2025 and close in late September 2025.

You can pay for the CAT exam fees by carefully following these steps to ensure that the process goes smoothly:
> Register on the official website: Create a new account at iimcat.ac.in.
> Fill Application Form: Complete every section of the application form.
> Proceed to Payment: Click on 'Save and Continue' to go to the payment page.
> Select Payment Method: Choose from a debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI wallet.
> Complete the Payment: Follow the instructions to finalize your payment.
> Confirm Payment: You should receive a confirmation via email or SMS once your payment is made.

Modes Of CAT Exam Fees Payment
Aspirants can pay the CAT exam fees online using any of the following methods, which provide a range of options to suit your preferences:
> Debit Card: There are extra charges (0.75% for amounts up to Rs 2000 and 0.90% for amounts above Rs 2000).
> Credit Card: There are also charges here (1.20% for most cards and higher rates for American Express).
> Net Banking: This method incurs a flat fee of Rs 20 per transaction.
> UPI Wallet: No specific charges are mentioned for this option.
Candidates must keep in mind that offline payments like cash, challans, or demand drafts are not accepted.
CAT Exam Fees Refund Policy
The CAT fees refund policy states that registration fees cannot be refunded or transferred to other candidates. Once paid, these fees are neither returnable nor can they be used for future exams. Therefore, candidates must ensure that their payment is successful and confirmed before moving forward.
CAT Exam Fees 2025: Fee Waivers
A limited number of eligible candidates will receive a waiver for the tuition fee from IMI New Delhi, following AICTE guidelines. To qualify, candidates must have a household income of less than INR 8 lakhs per year in the financial year right before the year of admission, which must be verified by a government official.
For candidates in the General, EWS, and NC-OBC categories, the registration fee for CAT exam is INR 2500.
For candidates in the SC, ST, and PwD categories, the registration fee for CAT exam is INR 1250.
Students who qualify will be selected for the tuition fee waiver within a month after the first term of classes begins. Candidates must show their CAT exam admit card during the admission process. The selection will be based on merit during the IMI New Delhi admissions process for the few eligible students who may receive the tuition fee waiver.
