JIPMAT Dress Code 2025

Outfit; another underrated essential at an examination centre.


Aspirants who are already dealing with the last-minute exam jitters should not be bothered with what to wear on the exam day, so we are here to rescue. An outfit wouldn’t be another added confusion after exploring this blog. 

About the Exam

The Joint Integrated Programme in Management Admission Test (JIPMAT) is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The test offers the aspiring students an opportunity to secure admission into a Five-year Integrated Programme (a unique blend of BBA and MBA) at IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya.

Dress Code

There is No Specific Dress Code mentioned for JIPMAT, however, it is strongly recommended to wear something casual and comfortable.

  • Wear light-colored, plain clothes without big buttons.
  • Avoid clothes with metallic items, zippers, or thick embroidery.
  • Avoid footwear with thick soles. 
  • Avoid accessorizing. 

Candidates are expected to follow a modest and simple dress code.


Some things which are not allowed in the examination centre are as follows-

  • Caps, scarves, stoles, or dupattas
  • Jewelry or metal accessories
  • (rings, nose pins, chains, earrings, bracelets, etc.)
  • Watch (digital or analog)
  • Sunglasses or Goggles
  • Full-sleeve clothing


Special Note for candidates wearing Religious/Cultural Dress:


Candidates who wear specific attire for religious or cultural reasons (like a turban, burqas, hijabs, etc.) are generally allowed but may be subject to additional security checks. It’s advisable to reach the centre early in such cases.

JIPMAT 2025 - Exam Instructions

  • Candidates must bring their admit card as well as a valid ID card to the exam center. Those who do not bring their admission card or ID card will not be permitted to take the exam.
  • The candidate must reach the Centre at the time indicated against Reporting/Entry time.
  • No candidate shall be permitted to leave the Examination Hall before the end of the examination.
  • The candidates are required to read carefully the instructions given on the admit card and strictly adhere to them.
  •  Blank sheets for rough work will be provided in the Examination Hall.
  • Candidates are advised to check updates on NTA’s website (www.nta.ac.in and https://jipmat.nta.ac.in/ ). They should also check their mailbox on their registered email address.
