PGDBA 2023 Entrance Exam was held on 26th March 2023 in one shift only (10 AM – 1 PM) . There was no change in the exam pattern for PGDBA 2023. There were no surprises, and the overall paper was very similar to the PGDBA 2022 Paper in terms of the level of difficulty.
The marking scheme remained the same as last year with a reward of 3 marks for each correct attempt and a penalty of 1 mark for each incorrect answer. There was no penalty for unanswered Question. Overall, the PGDBA 2023 Paper could be labeled as medium difficulty. The section-wise analysis of the PGDBA 2023 Exam is given below:
The Verbal Ability section of the PGDBA 2023 Paper basically consists of 3 types of questions:

The Reading Comprehension subsection consisted of 2 passages. One of the passages – is on “Animal kingdom – How the animals communicate” and was 4/5 Questions in the passage was easy to attempt. One of them is on a little tougher side. The second passage on “Philosophy ” was quite doable with the medium level of difficulty.
There were 3 Para jumbles asked in the paper and all the 3 were very doable. The Vocabulary questions were slightly tricky due to the vocabulary used but were still doable. A good attempt would require at least 10-12 Questions to be answered correctly.
Logical Reasoning part constituted of 1 set with 5 Questions based on Grouping. The Question was about the visiting 5 Halls by different people and the conditions were on time taken to visit. The set was tricky and lengthy but doable. 3-4 Questions are doable in a time limit and set was medium to difficult.

Like PGDBA 2022, this section tested candidates with 5 separate questions with 1 graph/chart each instead of 1 set with 5 questions. The sets were from This would make the section slightly more time consuming but also meant that you would not have to give up on the section if you were unable to solve the set. The 3 questions based on the graph were straightforward and required observation skill, although the question on Table was quite calculation intensive. All 5 questions were solvable within 20+ minutes.
The Quantitative Aptitude section is the section with the highest weightage in the PGDBA Exam with 25 questions. Almost all the topics in the PGDBA Exam Syllabus were tested in the exam with the highest concentration being in Algebra and Higher Mathematics.

The level of difficulty of the section could be termed as difficult for the higher math while the remaining questions were of moderate level. The ideal strategy to maximize your marks would be to attempt questions apart from Higher Math’s first and then attempt as many of the Higher Math’s questions. This should allow a good student to attempt 17-18 questions.
Overall, the Cutoff for the PGDBA 2023 Exam is expected to be like last year with a score of 105+ being good enough to get a call for the interview rounds.
